Get connected
Dragon Media Manager is a remote companion for software you run yourself. It does not include a server, media, streaming subscription, or download service.
- Have a working Radarr, Sonarr, SABnzbd, or Unraid installation that you are authorized to access.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open More → Settings and select the service you use.
- Enter your server address and the authentication details required by that service. Use a secure HTTPS connection where supported.
- Check the connection, then open your library or server dashboard.
You only need to configure the services you use. A feature becomes useful when its corresponding service is connected.
What connects to what
- Radarr: your movie library and movie add requests.
- Sonarr: your TV library and show add requests.
- SABnzbd: download queue progress and pause/resume controls.
- Unraid: server health, storage, containers, and virtual machines.
- TMDB: movie and TV discovery information, artwork, and trailer links.
These are independent third-party services. Dragon Media Manager is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
Apple Watch & Apple TV
The Watch companion brings Find & Add, download status, library counts, services, and upcoming releases to your wrist. Configure your services on the paired iPhone first. Available actions depend on connectivity and the installed app version.
For optional encrypted settings sync between iPhone and Apple TV, use the same iCloud account and version 2.12 or later on both devices. Check the App Store for the version currently available to you.
Presets, Siri & widgets
Set your preferred quality profiles, root folders, monitoring choices, and search options in Add Defaults & Presets. These preferences support the app’s add flows, including Discover, Siri shortcuts, and Apple Watch.
Use the available Shortcuts actions for movie and TV requests, download controls, upcoming items, and status checks. Home Screen widgets provide a glance at upcoming releases. Features vary by platform and version.
Connection help
- First confirm the service opens from the same network using its normal web interface.
- Check the address, port, base path, and API credentials against your service settings.
- Allow local network access if iOS asks for it.
- For access away from home, provide your own secure network connection, such as a correctly configured VPN. The app does not provide a tunnel or relay.
- If a service is offline, the app cannot manage it until connectivity is restored.
